When entering the store you are instantly taken back at the effects from the floors which catapult you into feeling as though you are walking on, or flying above the tropical greenish fish laden waters of the Caribbean or the Florida Keys.
Enhancing this effect is the eclectic Key West and Island Lifestyle feel of the decor around you as you gaze upon the selection of Key Lime Beers, Key Lime Cooler Cookies, Key Lime Candies, Key Lime Chocolates, Key Lime Pretzels, Key Lime Wines and a selection of over 500+ different Hot Sauces, Grilling Sauces and Marinades. There is Fresh Locally made “Gator Jerky” and “Python Jerky” which is made with a slight smokey flavor and lightly spicy finish.
Unlike any other store in Florida or the United States for that matter, upon entering you are greeted and treated as though you are visiting an enchanted island and invited to enjoy our “All Florida Store”. Just as the company’s motto says… “Made by Floridians in Florida” The Florida Key Lime Pie Company is where it’s at for being more than just Key Lime Pie. World Record Pie
The Florida Key Lime Pie Company created the “World’s Largest Key Lime Pie” during it’s 7th Annual Florida Key Lime Pie Festival on January 13th, 2018 at Veterans Memorial Park in Merritt Island, Florida.
The creation of the Sunshine State’s favorite dessert was 147” (12.25 feet) in diameter and contained over 480 Cups of Graham Cracker Crust and over 12,800 ounces of Key Lime Pie Filling. Ultimately the Giant Key Lime Pie contained over 132 Gallons of Key Lime Deliciousness with a volume of over 180 cubic ft. weighing in at over 1,000 lbs.
The event captured the attention of Local, State, National and International media attention to include being featured in Ripley’s Believe it or Not!
Our History
The Story Behind The Pie
Founded in 2006 by Florida native Louie Morehead, The Florida Key Lime Pie Company started as an adjunct business to his plant nursery and garden center offering a long standing South Florida Family Recipe. Louie began serving homemade Key Lime Pies not just for his plant customers, but for local restaurants and businesses too.
In 2012, Louie expanded into historic Cocoa Village, opening an “All-Florida Store” featuring locally made products for both locals and tourists alike. He turned the shop into a tropical experience by adding a two-story Tiki Bar, serving Homemade Tropical Fruit Ice Creams, Island Style BBQ and sponsoring weekly Thoroughbred HermitCrab Races.
By 2015, the company grew again this time opening its flagship beachside location just steps from the ocean and right next to the world-famous Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach.
Now nearing its 20th year and 10 years at the Cocoa Beach location, The Florida Key Lime Pie Company has become an internationally recognized brand celebrated for crafting Florida’s Official State Pie with a fresh and authentic flavor you won’t forget.
